2023 English Training Course for Student Buddies

It’s summer break and all the fun activities have started at HKU! 🌞

Jennifer, Andrew and Anika, interns from Humber College, Toronto discussed cross-cultural communications and their experiences as an international student in Canada and Taiwan

They talk with HKU students about things to consider when you are going abroad.  

Students identified countries in North and Central America and using Canada as an example, they explored elements of culture like immigrant influences and population diversity. They also worked on practical aspects like currency exchange, what things cost in Canada and how weather changes across the seasons.    
The morning ended with a fun game of Pictionary, where two teams competed by drawing words for their teammates to guess.
