Q: What is the frequency and deadline for tuition payment? (Payment Methods and Deadlines)

  • Payment Frequency: Once per semester.
  • Payment Deadline: Payment must be completed within the first week of the semester.

Payment Methods

Payment Method Notes Important Notes
Overseas Payment Wire Transfer Please follow the instructions provided by the school.
  • “Student Name” must be indicated on the remittance slip.
  • After remittance, please take a photo of the slip for school reconciliation.
  • Amount Calculation: Based on the exchange rate of the remittance date (excess will be refunded, and any shortfall must be made up).
Payment in Taiwan On-Campus Location: Cashiers & Property Management or Bookstore on campus. Method: Cash only.
Convenience Store (7-11 / FamilyMart / Hi-Life / OK) Take the payment slip to the counter. Limitation: If the total amount exceeds NT$60,000, stores cannot accept payment. Please pay at the Post Office or on campus.
Post Office Take the payment slip to any post office branch nationwide.
UnionPay Withdraw NTD cash from an ATM with the UnionPay logo, then pay at the Cashier Section or Post Office. Direct ATM transfers for tuition are NOT available.

Physical Examination and Insurance

【Physical Examination for HK/Macau Student Residence Permits】

  1. Date: Coordinated by the Office of International Affairs after arrival in Taiwan.
  2. Location: Kuang Tien General Hospital (Shalu).
  3. Cost: NT$2,100 (Pay on-site). Includes Form B + Freshman Health Exam.
  • Other New Students: The health exam for non-HK/Macau students will be arranged by the school on campus; the cost is NT$700 per person.

【Insurance】

  1. All new students must enroll in the school’s Injury and Medical Insurance upon registration. (You may also purchase additional insurance from your home country).
  2. First Semester: Pay premium for Sept. to Feb. (Group Insurance).
    Second Semester: Pay premium for March to Aug. (National Health Insurance).
  3. National Health Insurance (NHI): Mandatory enrollment after six months of residence. For international students, the premium will be included in the semester tuition bill.

Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) Application 🔗

The Office of International Affairs will process ARC applications for new students.

1. Hong Kong and Macau Students:Apply for the “Taiwan Area Resident Entry/Exit Permit” after entering with a single-entry permit and completing the health exam. Fee: NT$2,600 (valid for 3 years).

  • Required Documents:(1) HK or Macau ID card (2) Original and copy of Passport (3) Exit & Entry Permit for Taiwan (4) Health Certificate (5) Police Record Receipt/Criminal Record Certificate (6) Admission Letter (Direct Admission) (7) Application Form for Residence/Permanent Residence for HK & Macau Residents (8) Identity Confirmation for HK/Macau Residents (9) Certificate of Enrollment (10) NT$2,600.

2. Overseas Chinese & International Students:Apply for the “Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)” within 30 days of entry with a Resident Visa. Fee: NT$1,000 (International) or NT$500 (Overseas Chinese) for 1 year.

  • Required Documents:(1) Original and copy of Passport (2) Copy of Resident Visa (3) Admission Letter (Direct Admission) (4) Certificate of Enrollment (5) Fee: NT$1,000 for International students / NT$500 for Overseas Chinese students per year.
