HKU has established beneficial partnership with 145 universities worldwide and recruited international students and trainees with various pursuits. The international student body is currently above 700. In addition to recruiting degree-seeking students, we offer customized skill-training programs to meet different professional and industrial needs, such as nursing, hospital management, pre-school education, vocational education, and cosmetic-medicine.
While domestic students are encouraged to participate in various global mobility programs to enhance global visions and competitiveness, students from our partner universities are welcome to fulfill academic requirement and experience the local customs of Taichung at HKU through dual- degree study, exchange programs, internships, and short-term training programs.
The Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs was originally founded in 2010 to coordinate official university business with Mainland China. In 2011, the Office merged the International Exchange and Cooperation Section separated from the Department of Research and Development. The Office aims to expedite the global and cross-straits academic exchange and two-way student outbound learning program. The University has signed up the protocol with various academic organizations in United Kingdom, America, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia, Germany, Thailand, India and Mainland China. We hope to provide more opportunities for professors and students to research, learn, and exchange overseas. The Office also recruits International students, and offer advice to assist them studying and living in Taiwan!
What we do:

2. Developing and executing the global projects and plans.
